Selena Gomez’s Return To The Stage Turns Into A Lip-Sync Nightmare

A few months ago, Selena Gomez underwent surgery for a kidney transplant, as we all know, transplants are very serious and complicated medical procedures that take months to plan and recover from, however the 25-year-old singer decided to make a return to the stage and gave a special performance at the 2017 American Music Awards.

But her performance didn’t exactly go as planned, or if it did the backlash she is getting for it was probably something that Gomez was not expecting. Fans have started to turn on the singer for allegedly lip-synching during the show.

Gomez took the stage to sing her hit single “Wolves” while wearing a provocative white dress complete with white sneakers and a Tiffany necklace to nail down that lolita look that she was going for, she even did a little flash of her underwear make the outfit appear all that more authentic.

Hollywood Life’s reporter Russ Weakland was front and center during the singer’s performance and he claims that Selena started to get booed by fans of South Korean boy band BTS right after her performance ended, however, the jeers can’t be heard on the television broadcast.

During the transmission, Selena does show signs of discomfort and even appears to be a little despondent by pacing around the stage for around 10 seconds after her performance. The singer then slightly shrugs to acknowledge the applause and tenderly mouths her appreciation “Thank You”.

Reports indicated that the singer suffered a panic attack before getting on stage, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet if so that could probably be the reason behind why the performance was lip-synched which also hasn’t been confirmed but it sure did sound like it was and many fans are accusing her of that.

Fans of the singer also turned to her help and wrote her lines of support in social media. “May I remind y’all Selena is still recovering from a kidney transplant and she just gave the performance of a lifetime. Words can not express how emotional I’m feeling right now. Literally shaking,” wrote one of her loyal fans.

The singer didn’t stick around for the rest of the ceremony and jolted after her performance but not before thanking her fans in an Instagram story, the platform where Selena is the most followed person in the world.
