The whole incident was caught on video and in it, you can hear the array of accusations that the man launched against the young woman who was holding a baby in her arms. The security guard claimed that he had seen the woman driving a car before and that she was begging without a real need, calling her a scammer.

The security guard is an employee with private security firm Allied Universal, and when the discussion broke out he was patrolling the parking lot of the mall in a golf cart, where he saw the woman asking customers for money. The video was captured by Sonia Serrano Zavala and she claims that it wasn’t enough for the guard to just ask her to leave the premises but that he started accusing the woman of being an undocumented immigrant.

“You’re illegally here, and you’re having babies and you’re falling on welfare,” says the guard to the woman in an abrasive tone. during the incident, another woman approaches the scene and expresses her indignation towards the accusations being made by the guard. the witness then turns to the mother and asks her to “ignore” the man who is only a security guard and not a real police officer.

“He’s not a policeman, You leave those people alone!” shouts the woman to the security guard who subsequently tries to explain his motives to her, but his rhetoric falls on deaf ears and the women continue to stand by the mother and start attacking the security guard and his posture.

The security guard continued affirming that the woman was just pretending to be homeless and that he had her on video begging for money and then driving off in a new car, he also said that the woman lived in a luxury condo with her husband and other undocumented immigrants and that they posted YouTube videos of their lavish lifestyles.

The witnesses who stood up to the security guard filed a complaint with the company he works in. In a statement, Allied Universal said that “The behavior of this employee does not reflect on the standards that we have set for our security professionals, we will handle the situation accordingly.”

An Allied Universal spokesperson confirmed to Univision that the security guard continued working for the company.
