A woman named Pamela Sharma, of Indian descent, insisted she wasn’t racists despite calling a clerk employee a “black bi***, black who**, and “black slave.” The incident occurred at the Dollar Tree in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Sharma was caught on video and can be heard calling the store clerk, Alise Fowler, the racist names. “She called me a ‘black bi***,’ a ‘black who**,'” said Fowler. Sharma, who was with her sister, kept insulting Fowler and later saw someone was filming her.
“Keep recording black Momma,” she said. WSB-TV got the video for a report on Tuesday in which they blurred Sharma’s face because authorities had not charged her with a crime. “Jesus was white, not black,” she screamed, as she was asked to leave the store following the dispute.
The video went viral on social media, and ever since, Sharma has come forward to state that she isn’t racist and she was the real victim. “The clerk got agitated and said, ‘You pieces of trash, why don’t you go back to your country,” said Sharma.
“I wasn’t racist initially and I wasn’t racist in the middle, it’s not until I became the victim of racism,” she added. In a video for the WSB-TV Sharma said, “She’s telling me she’s going to beat my a**.”
Sharma said she also is a former high school teacher and that she had taught at black and Latino schools. “Individuals who go to be an educator are not racist,” she said. She claimed she went to a Christian school, believes in Gandhism, and is highly educated.
Meanwhile, Fowler is still in shock from the attack, telling WSB-TV, “Talking to somebody like this is never OK. Being evil is never OK.”
