The former Mexican president, Vicente Fox, has launched personal attacks on Donald Trump since the businessman first announced his presidential campaign. Trump, of course, brought it upon himself by calling Mexican immigrants rapists and drug dealers.
Fox’s latest rant against came after the American President gave the order to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Fox took to Facebook to shame Trump for his actions, saying, “It is the worst action you have ever done against the ones that cannot defend themselves.”
Trump’s move, announced by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, led to Vicente Fox tweeting that Trump “didn’t even have the balls to say it himself.” The slamming wouldn’t stop there – Fox later released a parody video of himself running for president of the United States.
In the weirdest video of all time, Fox states his reasons for why he’d be a better POTUS than Donald Trump. He even introduces a line of hats with catchphrases mocking Trump. This video is the third in a series of Fox’s fake presidential campaign.
With over two million views in 24 hours, Fox garnered the attention he sought. Although Donald Trump is a pain in the rear for Mexicans on both sides of the border, the ex-Mexican president is not handling the situation the way most would like.
The comment section featured, like always, people on both sides making their points. One of the comments read, “When he was Mexico’s president he witnessed corruption first hand and didn’t do anything about it.” Another said, “I’m Mexican, and I’m ashamed of this video. Fox made a lot of promises he didn’t keep.”
During his tenure as president, Fox was condemned for irregularities in infrastructure projects, using his political ties in favor of himself and his family, and excessive spending of public funds. He’s also infamous for being hot-headed, having a loose tongue, and for his lack of political correctness.
In 2005, Fox said, “Mexicans in the United States do the jobs even black people refuse to do.” A year later he shamelessly stated, “75 percent of Mexican homes have a washing machine with two legs, not an electric one.” Fox was referring to women.
Surely this won’t be the last of Fox’s Trump-bashing videos. His Twitter history is almost as bad as Trump’s, so anything the U.S. President does will without a doubt end up on Vicente’s timeline. Let’s hope he takes things a bit more seriously next time, though.
