Marília and Matheus Pieroni were hoping to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony with all their loved ones, but stormy weather prevented them from fulfilling their dream wedding. They packed all their guests into a tent but never expected who they would meet next.
A wedding crasher with fur and four paws stole the now married couple’s heart when he found refuge in the tent, as well. The Brazilian wedding quickly turned into a game of guests trying to kick the dog out, but the four-legged visitor would not give up.
When ‘Here Comes the Bride’ began to play, the dog made its way down the aisle in place of the bride-to-be. Guests quickly kicked the poor pup out of the wedding yet again, but it would not be the last time the guests would see this furry friend.
As the Brazilian couple read their vows to each other, declaring their neverending love to each other, the wedding crasher had another quirky moment. Without a single care in the world, the dog laid down on top of the bride’s vail while the priest carried on with the ceremony.
Luckily for the dog, the bride is a huge fan of animals, so her reaction was one of love and compassion. If it were any other wedding, with any other bride, that poor dog might have had to sleep in the pouring rain and blistering cold.
“The dog entered and laid down to sleep on my veil,” Marília told The Dodo. “It was a very pleasant surprise for me because I love animals. I liked it very much.”
Seeing the love she had for the stray dog, guests followed the bride’s example and warmed up to the puppy. Unfortunately, the dog eventually left without even saying goodbye, but the bride was smitten, and she was not able to forget the dog even after the wedding.
A week passed without any sign of the dog despite the couple’s efforts to look for him. They decided that their first decision made as a couple would be to find the wedding-crashing dog and give him a new home in their new home.
“We decided to adopt him because he is a street dog. It took us a long time to find him again, but yesterday, we were contacted and told his whereabouts.” – Marília Pieroni
The couple finally found the stray dog, took him home and decided to name him Snoop. “He came home, and I showered him,” said Marília. “He played a lot, ate, drank water. He is very happy and slept super good the first night. We’re all very happy.”
