La raza looking out for la raza! Latino celebrities from a bunch of different nationalities, but with one big Latino heart, decided to take matters into their own hands, and come together for the people of Puerto Rico, who have been neglected and even disparaged, by the current administration in the wake of Hurricane Maria.
“United more than ever for Puerto Rico. Por Ahí vamos,” Luis Fonsi wrote with a photo of himself along with Ricky Martin, Nicky Jam, and Chayanne
After they landed, the gang got straight to work, these brave women and men, don’t mind getting their hands dirty, as you can see by Chayanne’s Instgram video that showed the artists putting large cases of bottled water and other vital necessities on the back of a truck to go into the hands of those in desperate need.

As you can see by the video, other artists involved in this altruistic crusade are Laura and Jorge Posada, Emilio & Gloria Estefan, former MLB catcher Ivan Rodriguez, television host Rashel Diaz and Spanish chef Jose Andres.
On Sunday, Jose Andres along with the people from World Central Kitchen, took their skills to the neighborhoods, and cooked chicken with rice along with some sandwiches for the locals, feeding two-thousand people in just one day.
As you can see by the video he shared on Instagram, the chef who is wearing a t-shirt that reads “We Are All Dreamers”, is reporting that the 15,000 inhabitants of ‘El Tuque’, who despite everything remains with high spirits, are still without water and food, and that the coalition will start installing kitchens that will hopefully be able to feed everybody for the next week or two, or until they are no longer needed.
Quick report from El Tuque near Ponce in south of #PuertoRico: They have no water, no generators. We provided 2,000 meals but more needed. pic.twitter.com/MkarquUf1q

FEMA has already made contact with the chef, and they are in the works to expand the operations so they can cook 100,000 thousand meals a day. All of this would have been impossible without these celebrities coming together.
Two weeks after the storm ravaged the Caribbean Island, most of it’s the 3.5 million U.S. citizens are still without electricity, not to mention the thousands of people who have lost their homes and still have no clue as to what they are going to do. Without electricity, hospitals are bending over backward to operate, not to mention that communication has now become a real commodity, with cell phone service only as scarce as drinking water, food and fuel.
