Televisa’s ‘Rebelde’ was probably the most popular telenovela of the last decade, it even sprung out one of the biggest pop groups in Latin America called RBD, that formed by the series characters and that lasted from 2004 through 2009 when they separated despite multiple fan street protests all over Mexico.
Many years later now Angelique Boyer (VicO), Karla Cossio (Pilar) and Estefania Villareal (Celina) decided to have a small “Rebelde” reunion and the pictures they took that day produced many nostalgic feelings among fans. These three girls were part of the show’s supporting cast and some of the fans favorites. It’s important to point out that the girls look just as spectacular as they did back then, and it gives fans hope that a whole cast reunion could happen.

The soap opera took place at the “Elite Way School” an upper-class high school where teenagers from the wealthiest families in the world would attend to receive the best quality education and establish themselves in society and market. The school also offered a scholarship program for underprivileged students that showed great prowess in academia or athletism.
But it wouldn’t be a telenovela without the drama, so these underprivileged scholars had to deal with a secret society called “The Lodge” whose sole mission was to discourage the sizars from graduating, thus maintaining the ‘purity’ of the upper-class.

But four students, Mia, Miguel, Diego, and Roberta discover that through their mutual love of music they can transcend their marked differences. Roberta, who happens to be the daughter of a popular singer, has little regard for rules or social conventions, mostly because of her own insecurities product of having to grow in the shadow of her famous mother.
Then we have Miguel, who has one of the most intense stories in the series. Hailing from Monterrey and attending the school on a scholarship, Miguel’s sole mission is to find and eliminate the man he believes to be the cause of his father’s death, but little did he know that this man would happen to be Mia’s father, the show’s main character, and Miguel’s love interest.
I love watching Rebelde porque I saw it back in 2004 & I still watch it over & over again because RBD was everything to me ♥️

And of course, we have Mia, the show’s soul, and their most talented performer. Her whole world comes crashing down when her father falls in love with Roberta’s mother, a woman she believes to be vulgar. With this little synopsis, you can understand why the show became so popular, a story of waking up to the harsh realities of life will always have a loyal public.
