Mexican Actor Slaps Reporter Across the Face And Sends Him To The Hospital

Paco Fuentes a reporter from Univision’s “El Gordo y la Flaca” was slapped across the face by Televisa’s actor Eduardo Yáñez, during a Pantaya service presentation in Whittier, CA soon after the reporter started asking him questions about his son’s Eduardo Yáñez Jr. car accident. The actor explained with a  heavy tone to the reporter that his questions were impertinent, Fuentes continued to pressure Yáñez and he slapped him straight to the hospital’s waiting room.

Moments before the attack, Yáñez was telling Juan Manuel Navarro of Televisa his views on the relationship between actors and press. “I have a different point of view about the press, the press does a very different job than I do, It has expanded more into commenting about actor’s personal lives, than about their work, actors have to that and learn how to deal with it, it’s all part of the same business,” commented Yáñez.

But talk is cheap, especially when it comes to Yáñez who is known for inappropriate behavior from time to time, but whose patience was run short by Fuentes, after asking him about his son, who has previously accused the actor of everything, from a drug addict, to racist and even homosexual.

“If you’re so worried about my son, you send him the money and you ask him,” said Yáñez to Fuentes after asking him about why his son had to open a GoFundMe page after his car accident when he could have just asked Yáñez the money, a very touchy subject for the actor who has previously questioned his son’s masculinity on live television. “Hell no, that’s b*llsh*t! that’s what you tell yourself to involve the public into other people’s businesses,” said the actor as the reporter justified his position by saying that the press works as the link between the artist and the public.

Soon after that, Yáñez was done talking and started slapping, much to the bewildered looks of upcoming Geostorm actor Eugenio Derbez and his wife Alessandra Rosaldo, among other actors and reporters. Apparently, the blow to Fuentes’ ear and face was so strong, that the reporter had to be translated to a hospital.

The reporter was featured in “El Gordo y La Flaca” talk show to tell his side of the story, Fuentes who appeared in front of the camera with the left side of his face notably swollen, claims that he was left completely embarrassed and that he felt very impotent about the situation, but still the reporter refused to drop the question and asked again at the end of his interview. “I ask you this. What would you do? What do you think about a person setting up a GoFundMe because he crashed his car?”

Just in case you don’t remember who Eduardo Yáñez is, we’re going to leave you with the into of “Destilando Amor”, his most famous telenovela and one he co-started along Angelica Rivera, Mexico’s current first lady and wife of President Enrique Peña Nieto. Enjoy!
