Mariah Carey Suffers Nightmare Robbery After Her Release Of Holiday Songs

You can tell it’s time to take out your Christmas decor when Mariah Carey starts singing about the birth of Christ. The Christmas queen has recorded another nativity-themed, adult-contemporary holiday ballad, called ‘The Star’ for the upcoming animated movie of the same name. However, not everything is jingle bells and merry all the way in the world of Carey, only last weekend, her house was broken into, and over $50,000 worth of designer bags and sunglasses were stolen from the One Sweet Day singer.

So it’s really like everything in life with Mariah Carey, one moment you’re releasing a hit single that will most probably top the American charts, the other you are crying over your stolen Marc Jacobs Carolyn Crocodile Handbag that went along so nicely with your also stolen Lugano Diamonds Sunglasses. The mother of two is the most recent victim in the wave of burglary that is ravaging Los Angeles as of late.

Even though her silent alarm was tripped by the burglars, the security team didn’t find out about the breaking and entering until 4 hours after it had happened. The singer’s house was attacked at around 3:00 a.m., while she was out for the night, apparently the criminals left a ladder in the backyard as they used it to reach one of the windows from which they entered.

No information about the stolen goods has been released, but back in August, Vogue was invited to take a sneak peek into the singer’s closet and among the many expensive items she owned, she did point out a hot pink Birkin that was a gift from prized fighter Floyd Mayweather.

Mariah can always sing herself back into mood, and now that her song has been released, Carey could be expected to do a lot more holiday singing, a realm she dominates already oh so well. Her first venture into Christmas music can be traced back to 1994 with her double platinum certified single “All I Want For Christmas Is You” was released on her ‘Merry Christmas” album that was certified five times platinum, and with such impressive records, it’s hard to imagine that her new single won’t bring Mariah many holiday joys.

Other artists that will be featured in The Star’s soundtrack will be Fifth Harmony, Pentatonix, Yolanda Adams, A Great Big World, Kirk Franklin among others.
