Star Wars: The Last Jedi is reaching screens everywhere December 15th, and in a brilliant marketing move, Disney Latino organized a fashion contest to promote both the film and local designer’s talent.
This past Friday night, the students at Iberoamericana University, the Haute Design Institute, and Jannette Klein University took inspiration from droids, spaceships, the Skywalker family, as well as First Order and Resistance pieces, to create a series of 10 outfits – 5 male and 5 female.
It took place in a beautifully decorated, space-themed runway in Altto San Angel salon. Colors such as black, red, brown, metallic silver, copper and gold were present at the show, with more than 300 people in attendance.
Accomplished individuals had the pleasure of judging the runway show alongside photographer David Dahlhaus, editor of Glamour magazine, Andrea Mendez, and influencer Tere Suarez. Fer Altuzar acted as hostess and BB-8 even came in to say hello at one point of the night.
The two winners that were chosen in the finale will participate in a Red Carpet shooting for Reforma Group as a prize, which will take place soon.
