Fans all over the world are excited about the return of one of last year’s most emblematic television shows to ever be put out by Netflix, we’re talking of course about ‘Stranger Things’. The hit Netflix original series makes its return on October 31st, and we will get to see the whole Dawkins gang reunite to fight back the monsters living on the ‘Upside Down’.
The American sci-fi horror drama had a great success in Latin America, and that’s why Netflix turned to one of its most emblematic little girls to promote the series release in the area, and that’s how the evil doctor Martin Brenner and our one and only ‘La Chilindrina’ played by the forever young Maria Antonieta De Las Nieves met in this cultural crossover of epic proportions.
Only one day after its release the video has already broken the internet by reaching nearly half a million views, and that’s because ‘El Chavo del Ocho’ -the show where ‘La Chilindrina’ first appeared to the world- fans are beyond excited to see one of their own cultural icons represented in a series that is so popular right now.
Right from the start, we can hear the beloved Mexican character reenact her famous cry after a can of soda popped while being subject to the same experiments that Stranger Things character ‘Eleven’ was forced to do in the first season of the series.

“¡Si tantas ganas tenias de hacer este experimento lo hubieras hecho tu! No que a mi que me dejas todas las cosas sucias, ¡Ya no te quiero!” cries ‘La Chilindrina in her famous sniffle that has cracked up so many generations all over Latin America. “Lo que tienes de abusivo, lo tienes de abusivo.” adds ‘Don Ramon’s daughter.
And how could she not be upset?! Dr. Brenner even made her nose bleed, sending the character into a crying fit that only a kiss from her neighbor ‘El Chavo’ could have stopped.
When confronted with her father’s evil side, ‘La Chilindrina’ starts telling the medical staff that her father is harmless and such a lovely person, only a little “baboso” (for those of you who don’t speak Spanish go ask your moms)
At the end of the video, we can see ‘La Chilindrina’ creepily laughing in front of the camera while reassuring us that season 2 of Stranger Things is going to be really really good. I mean we trust ‘La Chilindrina’ beyond any doubt, but she is known to be a little manipulative and mischievous, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Season 2 of this series turns out to be a lot scarier than the first, that would be ‘La Chilindrina’s’ ultimate prank!
