“Los Angeles in Mexico” is a charity effort founded by Mexican actresses Kate del Castillo, Ana de la Reguera, Karla Souza, and Olga Segura. With the announcement that Spanish content streaming service, Pantaya, has joined the team, excitement is running high in the organization because they will now be able to cover the necessary costs for the organization to fulfill its mission.

The charity organization’s goal is to provide long-term assistance to the victims of the recent earthquakes that struck Mexico last September. They want to do it in a more independent and transparent manner than that of the government, with whom Kate del Castillo has had a few run-ins before. “Los Angeles in Mexico” is also planning on assisting with the reconstruction of specific areas around the states that were affected by the earthquake.

“In the wake of the devastation caused by the earthquakes in Mexico, we join in solidarity with our friends at Los Angeles in Mexico and commit ourselves to support their mission through these donations, which will undoubtedly benefit the affected communities, which are not only crucial for our business and where many of our colleagues and friends reside, but are also part of our Latino family at large,” said Paul Presburger, the CEO of Pantaya for Latin Times. “We are proud to be able to help make a difference on such an important cause, and we applaud the excellent work Kate, Ana, Karla and Olga are doing.”

“We are very grateful that Pantaya has joined our cause. For us, these kinds of collaborations are extremely important, because we believe that the only way to rebuild our Mexico will be as a team,” explained 31-year-old actress Olga Segura to Latin Times. “We invite other companies to join our cause for the long term because this is a job that will take years,” actress Ana de la Reguera, who is featured on David Lynch’s cult television show, Twin Peaks, also added.

In order to support the cause, you can visit their website and buy one of the many products they have for sale. They have t-shirts or sweatshirts that have inspirational messages about Mexico’s strength. The organization also has a shirt and sweatshirt with a design by Gabriel Orozco, one of Mexico’s top contemporary artists of the moment.
