Mexican telenovela actress and producer Kate del Castillo, won’t hold anything back. The star of “Reyna del Sur” just claimed to the media that she had sexual relations with academy award winning actor Sean Penn, during their project involving an interview with Joaquin Lorea Guzman, better known as “El Chapo.”

In the new Netflix original documentary, Kate del Castillo confessed that she was romantically involved with Sean Penn and that at one moment she believed that things were going to get serious with the actor.

However, like in every good Latino drama, the telenovela actress contradicted herself during a Good Morning America feature presentation. She was promoting her documentary, “The Day I met El Chapo: A Kate del Castillo Story” saying that the sexual encounter with Sean Penn was purely business. “I never fell for him, we had sex. Sorry, but we are both adults, single, and something was going on but that was it, it was business,” said the Mexican actress.

Meeting the world’s most wanted man is an experience that one usually doesn’t have with his partner, but when Penn and Castillo said their prayers after meeting the drug lord, the couple felt ecstatic. “That moment when you touched my chest I knew something would happen between us”,’ said Penn.

Kate del Castillo holds good memories about Sean Penn. She remembers the I Am Sam actor to be extremely charismatic and wholesome. When Del Castillo read Penn’s poorly written draft for Rollin Stone about his meeting with El Chapo, however, Kate decided that if she ever needed to tell a coherent story, that she would have to do it without the Hollywood actor.
The Mexican actress is open about her intimacy. Her openness is mostly due to people assuming that the actress got involved with “El Chapo” due to some unsavory allegations about Kate’s relationship with the drug kingpin.
“When we got back (from meeting him) we were very moved so made sense that something would happen, ” said the Mexican actress on one of the scenes of the documentary about her relationship with Penn. ‘I enjoyed it and don’t regret it I fell my friend, what can I say?’ continued Kate.
