Univision Journalist Called The N Word

Ilia Calderón who is one of the most highly sought after Hispanic journalist on TV was tagged with the N word by a member of the KKK during a TV interview.
The Univision journalist brought the leader of the KKK Chris Baker on her “Aquí y Ahora” show and the sit-down interview quickly turned awkward as the KKK leader insulted her by calling her the N word in a preview of the show that has just been released.

Maria Martínez Guzman, the Vice President of the Network shed more light on how the incident panned out. “I told them that I was a producer of Noticiero Univision and that I had a correspondent, a Hispanic woman of colour, that wanted to interview them,” she said in the clip. “They said yes. It was a Mexican cameraman, an American one that we call ‘El Gringo’, Ilia, and myself, a Cuban.”

Martínez Guzmán also added: “Ilia opted to stay in the car. We taped inside the house where they had all types of things that were horrible like a statute of a person of color with a watermelon and a rope around their neck. They started using language that was totally unacceptable for any of us.”

Ilia Calderón further stated that she was so uncomfortable that she had to start her car to prepare for, “what I had to do and what I was about to confront.” The producer said that one of the male KKK members walked up to her, while she was seated in the car and gave her a damning look that shook her to her knees. “It was filled with so much hate and so much resentment.”

The first thing that he told me was that he had never had a black person step on his property,” Ilia said. She also mentioned that all of her team warned her that she would be insulted and she was aware that it would happen, but not to what extent.

When the interview eventually started, Barker wasted no time in having a go at Calderon saying “To me, you’re a n***, that’s it.” She wasted no time in responding saying, “I find that offensive.” Barker then walks away in anger without saying a word even though Calderon implored him to stay back and feared for her entire team. She said, “I felt a lot of fear for my security and the security of all of my team.”

This has become a trend for the leaders of the KKK as another leader, Justin Moore, of the same brand opened up that he was happy that a woman lost her life during the protest in Virginia because she deserves it. He said in a voicemail to the WBTV.  “I’m sorta glad that them people got hit and I’m glad that girl died. They were a bunch of Communists out there protesting against somebody’s freedom of speech, so it doesn’t bother me that they got hurt at all. I think we’re going to see more stuff like this happening at white nationalist events.”

In a message that was recorded and sent out he further praised the killer driver James Fields who drove his car into the crowd that were protesting against the white and Neo Nazis sympathizers. “Nothing makes us more proud at the KKK than we see white patriots such as James Fields Jr, age 20, taking his car and running over nine communist anti-fascist, killing one [expletive]-lover named heather Heyer,” the recorded message says. “James Fields hail victory. It’s men like you that have made the great white race strong and will be strong again.”

No other arrest has been made yet in spite of images of violence against other racial groups by the KKK.
