Drake, stopped in the middle of his presentation in Australia to tell a male audience member that he should stop groping the women in the crowd. The incident occurred on Wednesday, November 15th, during a stop at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sidney as part of his ‘Boy Meets World’ tour in Oceania.
A fan-filmed video from the arena’s front rows shows the 31-year-old Canadian rapper interrupting his own show to address the accused audience member. “If you don’t stop touching girls I’m going to come out there and f*ck you up. If you don’t stop putting your hands on girls I’m going to come out there and f*ck your *ss up,” said the singer of ‘Hotline Bling’.

The rapper was performing fan favorite ‘Know Yourself’ from the 2015 mixtape ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’ when the incident took place. The fans didn’t seem to mind the interruption and cheered Drake for standing up for his female audience.
Given the recent string of sexual scandals, other musicians have taken a stand to denounce this type of behavior, at least in their shows. Last month, UK rapper Lyle Carner also crossed an audience member whom he heard making sexist comments at his show in Norwich. The rapper told the male attendant to leave the venue.
If I'm reading this week's news correctly, is the solution to all of this to nominate Drake to the Senate?

Sam Carter, the singer from Brighton metalcore act, Architects, also confronted a male audience member for groping a woman who was crowd surfing during the band’s set at a Heavy Metal festival. The festival took place in the Netherlands this August and the video of the singer berating the attendant went viral on YouTube.
Drake became the latest musician to denounce improper sexual behavior at concerts. Fans have applauded the rapper who came to fame for his Jimmy Brooks character in Degrassi. Next week, the Toronto native will take his tour to Melbourne, where he will conclude his string of performances for the year.
