Dating apps give people the opportunity to find someone to talk to, make friends or start a relationship. Now, there is a new app called ‘Chispa’ created by Match Group (MTCH) and Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) for the Latino community living in the United States.
According to the U.S. Census, 13 million Hispanics in the U.S. are single, not married or not in a relationship. “We are delighted to help create a place where Latinos can create new connections,” said Bryan Jewel, GM of Match Affinity.
Just like other dating apps, Chispa will incorporate easy-to-use swipe functionality for users to have a simple way to bond with possible matches. Members will be able to set up a profile, personalize their story, and share interests. The App will recognize your Facebook account and also SMS for easy registration.
UCI is the number one media company for Hispanic Americans. Their expertise designed the app for a diverse, bilingual community. Univision takes advantage of their multiplatform resources to offer the new dating app.
“No other company knows Hispanic consumers the way UCI does, and no other company knows more about connecting in the 21st century than the Match Group,” said John Buergler, senior vice president, Growth Initiatives, Univision Local Media.
Chispa is the new addition to the Match Group family of dating properties specifically focused on Latinos wanting to connect with other Latinos.
