Footage Of Cops Tearing Immigrant Families Apart

The U.S.-Mexico border is an imminent danger to immigrants and their families. President Donald Trump has always had his eyes on Mexican immigrants, even calling them rapists and criminals, threatening with creating a “big, beautiful” border wall.

Ever since Trump took over the presidency, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency has followed his lead on illegal immigration. By September, there had been more arrests than the same period last year, increasing 43 percent, even arresting immigrants with no criminal records.

In Texas, highway patrol started targeting undocumented immigrants, pulling them over for minor traffic violations such as defective tail lights or dark tinted windows. On one occasion, Texas state trooper, Cristobal Flores, asks a man nicknamed Paco to show his driver’s license.

Paco says he doesn’t have one, and Flores repeatedly asks in Spanish, “Why? Why? Why?” and even though Paco tries to remain silent, it was evident that Flores wanted him to admit that he was undocumented. Flores called border patrol, and Paco got sent to an immigration detention center.

In another case, Ruth Mariel Ramirez is pulled over for having her windows tinted too dark. When the state trooper found out that she was undocumented, they called border patrol and was obligated to return to Mexico with her four children, even though three of them were born in the United States.

Undocumented immigrants represent an essential portion of the Texas population. Texas has three out of the five cities with more immigrants in the United States.

In September, Trump announced the end of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Young immigrants will be in danger of being deported.
