It’s always been on the back of every sports fan’s mind, but we know better than to act on our most basic impulses, we don’t just jump on the field during a game to salute our heroes, we stalk them on Twitter like a normal person and casually appear where they are so we can ask for a selfie and an autograph.
Jumping on the field is just too much trouble, there are lot of variables to consider, you’re bound to either get arrested and sully your record, banned from all future games, get punched by security guards (and/or even players) and police, or a combination of all these, and that wouldn’t even be worst case scenario, let’s not forget to mention the humiliation of being dragged out of the field, most probably with your pants down to your knees, in front of thousands of cameras.

However last Saturday, an unknown lady did just that, she jumped on the soccer field during a Chivas de Guadalajara vs Leon match, just so she could take a selfie with one of Mexico’s most decorated and beloved players ever, club captain, Carlos Salcido. After running towards Guadalajara’s veteran fullback, the unnamed girl took out her phone and snapped a quick selfie with Salcido who didn’t hesitate on putting his arm around her.

However, one of the security guards, who looked way too old to be working that job, violently grabbed the girl by the arm as he was trying to drag her off the field, while at the same time trying to revive or fulfill some sick power fantasy where he could be in control of the whole situation, maybe with the expectation of earning a treat from his boss later, or a reassuring pat on the back for being a good boy. Whatever his motives were, the Chivas players were not going to go for it.

“She’s just a girl!” Tweeted Elias Rafael Rosales, “Miserable frustrated racist! He couldn’t stand up to the players that shoved him around, my Chiva-sister wasn’t troubling anyone you beast!”. The Chivas players quickly retrieved the girl from the security guard’s clutches and pushed him aside, letting him know that that was not the proper way to handle a lady, the coaching staff, and Leon players also jumped in on the situation and escorted the girl outside the field amidst angry screams from the senile security guard.

On this video we can see another man trying to run the field so he could steal the girl’s moment in the spotlight, unfortunately for him, he was neutralized instantly while the girl was being escorted by her heroes. Shame on the security guard really, didn’t his momma ever thought him how to respect women?
