Remember back in September when Cardi B and Beyonce met in Philadelphia, and the whole internet just started melting? No?
It was at the Made in America Festival where the Dominican rapper uploaded an Instagram picture with Queen Bey to commemorate the occasion.
Needless to say, Cardi B captioned the picture beautifully, “B*TCH I met Beyonce B*tch!!!!!!!!!!!!” Sometimes you just need twelve exclamation signs to get a point across.

But that’s old news, let’s focus on the future. Today is a good day to do so because rumor has it that the pair could fuse into the ultimate hip-hop warrior. The powerful song is set to appear on the next Cardi B album.
Rap-Up was probably the first web platform to report the gossip. Apparently, they had some time on their hands and were stalking random Instagram stories before coming across a gold mine in Michael Ashby’s account.
Ashby is Cardi’s sound engineer, and he posted what seemed to be a teaser for what’s coming next between these two formidable women. The story featured a picture that was taken at 4:29 of a demo studio track that the girls are calling “Wet” – the story also featured those little gossipy eyes emoticon that means you’re actually getting the real deal and the caption “WOW this feature is big 100.”

Cardi B, who now holds the record for the longest-running number one song by a solo female rapper, set the bar high for her new album, which was set to drop this month. According to Billboard, the artist is working the finishing touches on the new record.
Judging by Cardi’s Instagram account, it is believed that Ozuna and Offset will also be making an appearance on the new album. It would be amazing to see this jewel from the Bronx explore other genres such as reggaeton and Latin trap.

One would believe that given the industry’s high standards, that Cardi B would not be able to follow up on the success of “Bodak Yellow” and that she would just become another one-hit wonder like many before her. But a song with Sasha Fierce is a clear indication that there will be a lot more Cardi B in our future lives.
