Belinda got an awkward answer when she asked a young boy what he wanted for Christmas. In a video posted on the Facebook account of Gaia Planeta Azul, a foundation run by the singer, she was spending time with some children in a Mexican hospital.
When the star sat by one boy and asked him what he would like Santa to bring him, he shied away and put his head down. A man in the background says, “a jersey autographed by GIOVANI DOS SANTOS.”
You can tell by her face and response that she did not expect that answer. The singer replied, “Oooh, that can’t be, I can’t give you that, but I can give you other things. I don’t think he wants that,” she said jokingly.
The boy probably had no idea about her relationship with the soccer player, but she was surprised by the answer, and even laughed about it. The singer/actress and the soccer player met back in 2006 in Barcelona, but it was until early 2009 that the relationship became official.
The couple did not end on good terms. In 2014, she shared via Twitter a video of Dos Santos apparently intoxicated, to which he answered, “It is easy to make mistakes in life, but it’s not fair to take advantage of an old video, I have always been a gentleman to you.”
The singer replied, “I don’t know if it’s new or old, but it’s everywhere. Hope you’re still having a good time as it looks like. Blessings”
