Singer and actress Becky G took a swing at the music industry for what she considers to be unequal treatment between women and men artists. The actress said in a radio interview that if she were Maluma or Enrique Iglesias, her songs wouldn’t have to be censored like it happened when she appeared on Spain’s hit reality television show ‘Operacion Triunfo 2017’ where she performed her sexually explicit song ‘Mayores’.

Sure, that specific verse might be a little R-rated, but it’s 2017, we’ve surely heard worse and censoring artists content doesn’t protect anyone really, we are overly exposed to way worse things on television and the internet daily, so going out of the way to censor a female singer just seems redundant.
