Sahar Tabar, a young Iranian woman, recently went viral when Belgian news site Sud Info reported that Tabar underwent 50 surgeries to resemble actress Angelina Jolie. While Sud Info claimed her age is 22, other news outlets said she was 19.

That’s the smallest of discrepancies in this story since many Reddit users started to doubt the veracity of her alleged surgeries. They started to point out that the pictures looked photoshopped and that her heavy makeup helped give her a different look.
Her official Instagram account now has over half a million followers, but another IG account with her name presumably belongs to her, as well. After the story of Tabar broke the Internet, she used this other account to clear some things up about her unique look.

I thought these people are probably living in the 18th century and they haven’t seen or heard of technology or makeup and they are really surprised.

Although she does speak and write Farsi in her posts, she never mentions wanting to look like Jolie. News outlets reporting on this story never even got a direct quote from her claiming any surgeries or that she wants to resemble Jolie.

What she does mention is technology, hinting at the fact that she does alter her photos using Photoshop or another type of image editing software. She also references makeup, so her extremely bizarre pictures might just be some makeup and computer skills.
