A video of a little girl from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, went viral on social media due to her dog’s new haircut. The video starts with the unnamed girl crying and holding her nearly bald dog.
She, inconsolably says, “They left him all bald!” She was crying a river for her little puppy. The dog was fuzzier before the grooming, but when the girl picked him up, she was not happy with the results.
“Now he looks like a pig or a girl,” she said while crying. “Look! Why do these look like ponytails? He doesn’t have hair anymore. My poor baby!”
Regardless of the dog’s appearance, the little girl’s rant caused the video to go viral. The video has over 14 million plays and more than 149,000 shares.
“He has no cheeks anymore,” cried the girl while the dog became restless. Ylaltic Moxxa, the little girl’s aunt, posted the video on Facebook with the caption, “Llévalo a la estética, decían, lo dejarán bonito, decían.” [Take him to the groomer they said. They’ll make him pretty, they said.]
Only people with pets will understand what it feels like to take your dog to the groomer and have it returned to you with a cut that does not fit at all. Most of the comments on Facebook empathized with the little girl.
