Lopez quotes Teresa Bersonda, his former manager, in the complaint that was filed on Friday. “You are a stupid ass because you don’t know English,” and “I really wanted Donald Trump to win because he will throw you out of the country.”

She also said “Latino immigrants should all go back to their country.” Bersonda’s ethnicity is not mentioned in the suit. She apparently is a Trump lover and would harass Lopez any chance she had.

The Latino worker was hired back in 2014 and mocked by Bersonda because of his accent. She would also shout, “Build that wall,” during Lopez’s shifts.

In an attempt to change his work conditions, Lopez complained to the upper manager, who adjusted his schedule for a while, but Bersonda kept harassing him once he returned to his regular shift. According to the lawsuit, “he was told by company management that he needed to deal with it or leave.”

When Lopez got a lawyer to assist him with the situation against Yoshinoya and Bersonda, one of the managers threatened him with calling Homeland Security if he didn’t drop the lawsuit against the restaurant and Bersonda, according to the suit.

Yoshinoya declined an interview and Bersonda has not said anything either. According to the suit, Lopez was forced to quit in 2017.
