Cardi B Sings Spanish With Ozuna And Bares All On G-Eazy’s ‘No Limit’ Remix

This year, the world witnessed Cardi B’s meteoric rise in the hip-hop world. Breakout reggaetonero, Ozuna, reached out to the “Bodak Yellow” artist about a song he knew would be perfect for her.

“La Modelo” has both artists dropping bilingual rhymes amid a lush Jamaican landscape and vibrant, kaleidoscopic visuals. Ozuna describes it as “Jamaican dancehall, brought to the club.”

In an interview with Billboard earlier this week, Ozuna further explains his thought process regarding the collaboration. After hearing the song, I want you to say, “Wow, that woman is amazing, in English and in Spanish. That to me is the real crossover: a mainstream artist singing in Spanish.”

Cardi’s year of powerful collaborations did not end there. She also worked alongside Nicki Minaj and Migos in “Motorsport” and made an appearance on G-Eazy’s “No Limit” that made it to the top 10, as well.

In the remix of his track, G-Eazy includes verses from French Montana, Juicy J, and Belly aside from Cardi’s and A$AP Rocky’s. The seven-minute video is filled to the brim with twerking women, high fashion, and mountains of stacked bills.

For all those who thought she was a one-hit wonder, Cardi B is now the first female rapper to ever place in the top 10 with her first three singles. She’s a bonafide hit-maker and has the stats to prove it.

In related news, Cardi B revealed she almost quit music altogether after getting cut from a song which involved various artists around 2016’s Christmas season.

“I did a verse to somebody’s song, and the other artists was in the song as well, and I was so excited because I felt like my verse was so poppin,” the MC said in a recent Instagram live session. “Then, the artist told me that I couldn’t be on the song anymore because one of the artists that was on the song felt like I was too small, and they were too big for me to be on the same song with them.”

“That shit broke my heart so bad, it broke my heart to pieces,” she continued.
