Cardi B Breaks Another Record Previously Held By Beyoncé

Cardi B, 25, is taking the world by storm, making history once again by surpassing the one and only, Beyoncé. In September of 2017, Cardi B became the first female solo artist who reached the number one spot in Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, but that’s nothing compared to her most recent achievement.

The talented beauty is now dominating half of the Billboard chart and became the first female artist ever to have five top 10 singles simultaneously on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. Her collaboration with Bruno Mars in the 90’s-themed song and video “Finesse” gave Cardi the edge over Beyoncé.

It marked her fifth top 10 placement and the moment she beat Beyonce’s consecutive four. Besides “Finesse,” Cardi’s “Bartier Cardi,” “Bodak Yellow,” “No Limit” and “Motorsport” hits are also chart-topping songs. The Bronx rapper is only the third artist to achieve this feat.

The other two are Drake and Kendrick Lamar. She is, however, the first artist ever to achieve this with their first five singles. As of now, “Finesse” holds the number three spot on Billboard’s Top 100. “No Limit” is in 5th place, and “MotorSport” is hanging on at tenth.

Cardi B recently released a mini-documentary titled ‘I’m here Muthaf*ckas’ where she discussed her come-up journey in the industry and established a partnership with Steve Madden, debuting a shoe collection last December. Cardi will attend the 60th annual Grammy Awards ceremony having been nominated for her hit “Bodak Yellow.”
